This stealthy hardtail is what happens when Specialized beefs up their already impressive Stumpjumper 29er. The EVO 29 is tweaked to be more of a fully-capable trail bike than an XC race bike, but don't let that fool you — this bike still rips the local race course with a light, strong M5-aluminum frame that soars up the climbs and a RockShox Pike fork gives you 120mm of travel to get rowdy on the way down. The Roval Traverse Fattie wheels are extra wide to maximize the footprint of the aggressive Specialized tires for insane traction and predictability. You'll go into corners quicker knowing that you have Shimano's awesome SLX brakes at your fingertips, and the SRAM 1 x 10-speed drivetrain with an X0 Type 2 rear derailleur gives you precise, instant shifts for sprinting out of turns. What's more, you get the Command Post XCP to drop the saddle 35mm when riding through techy sections. This 29er boasts a low bottom bracket height and short chainstays for perfect handling, whether you're on tight, twisty trails or high-speed flow fests. Let the EVOlution begin.

Ive been riding this bike for about 3 months now and I still cant think of a thing I would change. The 1X10 is fantastic with excellent power delivery. The Fox float fork is great for switching between uphill, downhill and cross country.
I just took this bad boy out for the first ride tonight and it was insanely fast. I really didn't realize how slow and heavy my Stumpjumper FSR Elite was until I bought this bike. It is super light, comfortable riding position and it makes you want to go faster. Go Tubeless and you'll be amazed what you can do with this bike!
