Zipp 303 Firecrest Carbon Disc Brake Rear Wheel (Clincher)
$1,300.00
Zipp makes the impossible possible with their 303 Firecrest Carbon Disc Brake wheels—they're equally at home on the flats as they are in the mountains. The 45mm-deep rims slice through the wind more efficiently than even many deep-section wheels thanks to their 28.5mm-wide dimpled rims. And, by creating a seamless junction between rim and tire, the increased width further reduces drag. The 303s climb with the best and re-accelerate out of corners like rockets since they barely register on the scale, which makes them a must-have on undulating terrain. The extra wide rim also allows running wider tires at lower pressures with less fear of pinch flatting, which boosts ride quality and comfort and reduces rolling resistance. Plus, Zipp's 77D/177D disc hubs gives you incredible stopping power in wet and dry conditions alike, and they're thru-axle compatible (sold separately) for jaw-dropping steering precision and power transfer. You also get Sapim's oustanding CX-Ray spokes.

This feathery, 1240-gram wheelset spins up with ease so you can bolt out of corners and breeze up the climbs. With your favorite tubular tires, these wheels roll as smooth as silk.
ENVE SES 4.5 Clincher ENVE Carbon Hub Wheelset
$3,000.00
What It Is The ultimate everyday carbon fiber cycling wheelset and choice of Team Dimension Data. Who it's for Road cyclists and triathletes looking to minimize the trade-off between aerodynamics, lightweight, and stability. Why we made it Because from the moment the first prototypes made the rounds at ENVE, it's been the house favorite. The SES 4.5 rounds out the Smart ENVE System wheel line as a true mid-depth everyday cycling race wheelset. Additionally, the SES 4.5 features a refined shape and construction that yields better acceleration, cornering, impact resistance, and weight savings.
ENVE SES 4.5 AR Disc Clincher ENVE Alloy Wheelset
$2,550.00
What It Is The SES 4.5 AR Disc is an uncompromising aero wheel designed specifically for disc brake-equipped bikes and large volume 28 – 30mm road tires. Who it's for Cyclists looking for more speed, comfort, and traction on all road surfaces will find the SES 4.5 AR Disc a game-changer. Why we made it The introduction of road frames with disc brakes and increased tire clearance has allowed us to take an unconventional approach to wheel design. The result is a wheel that brings new levels of confidence and performance to the road cycling experience. Full Details Rebellious, unconventional, and pioneering are words that describe the one-of-its-kind SES 4.5 AR Disc. Conceptualized for the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix through our partnership with Team Dimension Data, the SES 4.5 AR Disc was developed to deliver top-shelf aero performance, stability, and comfort for virtually any road surface. The SES 4.5 AR Disc borrows from ENVE's M Series carbon mountain wheel tubeless technology and features hookless beads. Hookless beads improve aerodynamic performance by aiding airflow from tire to rim as well as allow for the best tubeless tire performance possible. Like all Smart ENVE System aero wheels, the front and rear rims are specifically designed for the airflow seen at the front and back of the bike. As such, the front rim is shallower and wider to maximize stability in crosswinds, while the rear is deeper and narrower to aid in drag reduction. In addition to dissimilar geometries, the SES 4.5 AR Disc features a disc brake-specific construction that saves weight, improves strength, and creates an unprecedented ride quality.
Specialized Roval 321 Disc - Disc Brake 700c Rear
$2,500.00
Making up about 50% of your total race time, the bike portion of a triathlon is where equipment choices can make the difference between first and fifth, and no other equipment choice will save you more time than a disc wheel. While traditionally-shaped disc wheels are faster than their spoked counterparts, the Roval 321 Disc for disc brakes turns conventional design on its head, creating the fastest wheel on the planet. Disc wheels often fall into two categories—a completely flat shape, with structure coming from carbon fiber and a honeycomb-foam filling, or a spoked wheel that's been faired with a carbon fiber cover. In our quest to break traditions, the 321 uses a single layer of 1k carbon fiber on each side of the wheel, and it all comes together at the brake track bridge. This kind of carbon fiber is rarely used in bicycle components due to its high manufacturing cost, but it offers a bevy of performance benefits. This coveted carbon is much lighter than other layups, like 3k and 12k, and it can only be laid by the most skilled of carbon fiber craftsmen. It's complicated, but the payout is worth it, as it delivers a supple ride and one of the lightest disc wheels available. And in the real world, this means that it'll spin-up quickly and reduce fatigue over the length of the course. Stiffness is often the “hot-topic” in the disc wheel world, but we think it’s an interesting conversation. It's long been thought that efficient power transfer and high stiffness are directly correlated, but through extensive field-testing, we've determined that this isn't the case at all. In fact, our initial disc was so stiff that, under power, it wouldn't flex with the frame and this caused brake rub. This wrongly creates the perception of a flexy wheel, when really, the wheel is actually too stiff. In order to solve the brake rub problem, we first designed our optimal aero shape and then worked on our internal stiffness targets to fit within what we consider to be a desirable frame stiffness. And while light overall weight was a development priority, our focus was aerodynamics. Through hours of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and testing in the Win Tunnel, we developed a never-before-seen shape that's optimized to work with a tire for on-bike airflow. What this translates to is an all-carbon disc wheel that, on the non-drive-side, has a shape that's as aerodynamic as our current understanding allows, and a drive-side shape that's as aerodynamic as the wheel-dish and derailleur clearance will allow for. To save every possible watt, we've also added CeramicSpeed bearings and DT Swiss 240 hub internals into our hub. Each 321 Disc wheel is also 2Bliss Ready right out of the box and comes with a padded wheel bag, quick-release, and tubeless valve stem. Designed for the most uncompromising athletes in the world, with engineering to match, the 321 Disc is the world's most advanced disc wheel for your race against the clock. - Rim Type: Full carbon clincher, 2Bliss Ready - Rim Material: Carbon - Braking Surface: Disc brake only - Rim Depth: Solid Disc - Rim Width: 19mm internal, 27.3mm external (at brake track) - Rear Hub: Roval Disc 142x12mm, CeramicSpeed bearings, DT Swiss 240 internals, 11-speed - Assembly Method: Handmade - Extras: Roval padded wheel bag, Roval tubeless valve, Roval valve pocket covers - Weight: 1015g
Specialized Roval CLX 64 Track – Tubular Wheelset
$2,100.00
The CLX 64 Track Tubular was brought to life under the Allez Allez team at the 2016 Red Hook Crit. Along these lines, you get all of the unrivaled aero performance of the CLX 64, albeit with DT Swiss track hubs and Aerolite spokes, for a stiff, smooth, and most importantly, fast ride on the boards. One of the first questions we get about the CLX 64 is, “Why 64mm instead of 65mm?” To put it simply, it's because 64mm tested faster than 65mm. One millimeter—that's how deep our testing goes. Having an in-house wind tunnel allows us to run every possible variation, and after two-years of development, 80 variations in rim design, and nearly 300 hours of Win Tunnel testing time studying tire and frame interactions, we found 64mm to be the fastest iteration for normal riding conditions. In fact, it's even faster than the 80-plus-millimeter-deep wheels they were tested against. Being able to use a shape that’s nearly 20mm shallower than the competition, yet just as low in drag, makes for a wheel that has drastically less side force and steering torque. This translates to less buffeting and more confidence in even the gustiest winds. Another positive of a shallower rim depth is the reduction in weight that follows using less material. Many deep carbon wheels feel “slow” due to their high inertia value. What's that? Inertia is the amount of force it takes to accelerate or decelerate, and wheels that are built around heavier rims lack the liveliness that many riders crave. Being over a half-a-pound lighter than the other wheels in its aero category, the CLX 64 accelerates, decelerates, and changes direction with less effort.
