      Comments:

My old bike was a rockhopper 26, and now I have a Epic Comp 29. I jumped like 4 levels. So I can't compare. However, I was researching other brands, and for this price including the offer Megacycle did, I think I got the best bike I can. It is incredible the change in rough terrains. My only complain, is that I miss Shimano in my rear derailleur. Shift speeds is noisy and I think it takes more time. Maybe need an adjustment because I can't reach the last speed.

I've had this bike for almost 2 years, and can't say enough good things about it. For the price, it's a very durable, light and easy to ride bike. It's fantastic for all mountian biking conditions.

          Comments:

Sizing on these is finicky so have Sprockets fit it. Go tubeless. Get a crossbar thing if you plan to transport it on a BONES rack. Suspension is easy enough to set up and maintain that a noobie feels confident. Then... prepare for the ride of your life. This baby hugs the trail and flies like a roller coaster. Try- just try- to wipe that smile off your face.

          Comments:

I picked up the Epic 29'er to upgrade from a 26" bike and wanted something with a good suspension design. Vertually no pedal bob when climbing and handles corners very well. For the money its a fairly light bike and fast. My only complaint is the roval wheelset. I've only had the bike for a few months and the rear wheel has broke twice. Cassette body once and now the axle bearings. For this price you think Specialized would give you descent wheels.
