A few words from our customers

Greg,

I wanted to take a few minutes and recognize one of your employees, Chris at Mission Viejo. Chris took the time to learn about what I was looking for and helped me narrow down my choices of bikes. He then helped me by giving me his opinion and then backing up with facts about why he felt that way. Even while trying to negotiate a deal with the shop, he was very professional and stuck by his word. I was going between shops since I could get a better deal at another one, but in the end it was Chris’ exceptional customer service that kept on bringing me back to your store. In the end, I bought a Specialized Tarmac SL3, and I am VERY happy with it. You have a great, passionate employee who really knows how to treat the customer.

Good morning,

I wanted to share a recent story with you regarding a repair situation with my road bike. Rock N’ Road provided excellent, cost-savings, and timely service, and I feel that it is very much worth mentioning.

The story…

About three weeks ago, my shifter on my road bike stopped functioning. I typically take my bike to one of two local shops for technical assistance. The first shop, which I contacted via telephone, stated that they would look into ordering a part and give me a call back with a price, etc. They never called back. I then took my bike into the second shop. The mechanic took a 30 second look and stated that I needed to buy a new shifter for $210 + tax + installation. I am aware that this is not a great sum of money, however, I needed a second (well, third) opinion, as I was not convinced based on the manner in which the information was presented.

So, I took my bike to the Rock N’ Road in Woodbury. I was greeted in a kind an professional manner, and the mechanic asked if he could take a look for a few minutes to diagnose the issue. The diagnosis was that I needed an overhaul to my shifter…for $20. That’s right, less than 1/10 of the previous estimate. On top of the cost savings, my bike was repaired earlier than promised, and is working great. Mike was great, and his approach was very much appreciated.

Thank you!

Ed is the best! He always makes me feel special and welcomed, whether I am just stopping by to pick up something to add to my bike(s) or my wife's. Whenever I talk to someone about their needs for bikes or accessories (even at spin class) I always recommend they visis Rock N Road in Anahiem Hills.

I appreciate the store.

Hello Jeff,

I must inform you of how wonderful Nicky was during the purchase of my new 2010 Specialized Allez Elite. It is not easy to spend that kind of money during this time for a middle class family. Her time, knowledge, and repeated kindness made your shop the only way to go. I live on the other side of the mountain near Temecula so it's not like I wanted a bike shop over 70 miles away when I have a Specialized dealer less than 5 miles away. That just goes to show you what a wonderful advocate you have in her. She is an excellent ambassador for the sport of cycling and I will continue to commute on her behalf. I have already begun spreading the word to friends and family that Rock-n-Road Cyclery is the way to go if you want the whole package. I thank you sincerely Nicky again for your education on what to get and spending time on helping me get it right. Be back soon for my wife's ride.

Your Customer for Life,
Joseph P. Robedeau - Winchester, Ca

P.s. I heard of your shop through my wife who was out there for a lunch meeting. She just stopped in to browse, not buy. Just goes to show how well word of mouth is when backed by friendly first impressions.

Yes John worked on both my bikes last week. I am soooooo glad you hooked me up with John. I think 6 mechanics had looked at those stupid zero gravity brakes. I kept saying they were messed up. One guy told me it was operator errror! Well John said yes they are screwed up. I ended up giving them to Wade and he is a good mechanic. He had to send them back to the factory to be fixed. John sees things that other guys just don't notice. Best of all he is a great guy!

Matt & Stu:

I just gotta tell you that my new Transition is awesome! Anybody who thinks a TT bike is just a funny looking road bike with clip-ons needs to ride one. I never knew being so aero could be so easy, so comfortable, and such a blast. Once again, Charles has done a great job making this a perfect fit given my body geometry and riding style. Even if someone isn't looking to race TTs or set new records, I suggest they try a TT bike just to experience a completely different (and fun) ride experience, much much different than a road bike. Thanks guys (especially to Charles) for getting me on it as I know it was really hard finding my size & color. BTW, Charles should sell Specialized his special custom mounting bracket that he makes for Di2 TT build-ups; it makes everything incredibly clean. If not, he should at least patent it before some other bike shop tries to copy it. But, then again, how many other bike shops could or would even try to make something like that? That's definitely going the extra mile! ---Brian

Hey Ed,

Just wanted to tell you that I had a great time riding in Orange County. The Tarmac fit perfectly and rode well. I was able to ride 146 miles in the 3 days ending with the shop ride on Sunday. It was a good group of riders and I seemed to be matched with them pretty well. Oh how I wish we had those hills where I live in Wisconsin!

Thanks for the quality equipment and hospitality. Visiting Anaheim was probably a once in a lifetime opportunity, but if I make it to your area again, you can bet I'll be renting another bike from you.

Best regards,
Tim Kettenhofen

Just wanted to let you know that thanks to Rock'n Road, I was able to get an SL3 SL.

As you probably already know, the SL3 SL was manufactured with a short "team" head tube (unbeknownst to staff at Specialized), which wouldn't work for me no matter what we tried to do with alternative stems, etc. (Since I have a reasonably aggressive fit, I'm not sure how many non-pros will be able to fit the SL3 SL.)

So Charles @ RnR tore down an SL3 SL so he could put the components on an SL3 module, which he created by tearing down a DuraAce SL3. I had my heart set on an SL3 SL so, without RnR, I don't think I'd have an SL3 today. Those guys are great!

I have to admit I was a bit worried about whether I'd notice a big enough difference from my SL2 to warrant the significant outlay. Given the gears I push, torsional stiffness is everything to me and I've really loved the stiffness of my SL2.

I took my SL3 SL for it's first test ride yesterday and I have to tell you that the bike is absolutely awesome!

As soon as I started powering over some rollies, the improvement in torsional stiffness was obvious and very noticeable. This bike is FAST!

But here's what really surprised me .....

When I got my SL2, I noticed no improvement in vertical compliance from my previous SL, which was okay since the SL's ride was comfortable and all I was looking for in the SL2 was increased torsional stiffness. But with the SL3, I am blown away with how much more comfortable the ride is. The bike truly has a sweet ride. It's like going from a race car built for raw horsepower to a Ferrari that has even more horsepower but also has elegant extras for comfort.

I think anybody going from an SL2 to an SL3 will be blown away. And cyclists going to an SL3 from anything other than an SL2 will feel like sending you guys flowers.

Well done! ---Brian

Hello Matty,

This morning I had some prospective clients come down for a ride. One of the guys had the wrong cleats. At about 9am I called Carlos on his cell to see if anyone was at the shop. He dropped what he was doing, met us at the shop and fixed the problem. My clients were very impressed and appriciative and so was I. Believe me you don't get customer service like that too often.

My sincere thanks to Carlos and Rock n Road.

Hi Matt,

I just wanted to take the time to recognize Jeff and his Laguna Niguel team for assisting me with my Enduro SL fork problem.

My 2007 Enduro SL had chronic oil leakage problems and I’ve been working with Jeff and his team (Kyle, Victor, Ryan) to get it permanently fixed over the last few months. Jeff’s team was really good about working on my bike immediately to try to remedy the situation. I rarely went a weekend without riding.

After several repairs and no luck in stopping the leak, Jeff contacted Mike McAndrews at Specialized and was able to secure me a new fork. I tried it out last weekend and it worked perfectly.

Jeff was always professional and a pleasure to deal with and I wanted you to know I appreciated all his help.

Thanks again for a great team!

Mike Varvis

I just wanted to drop a line and tell you about the experience I had at your laguna niguel shop, i was at the 24 hour fitness gym and a lady backed into my bike bending my back rim, i then proceeded to your laguna niguel store explained my issue to your customer service reps and further explained i was at the gym and did not have my wallet with me and had no cash on me, your staff offered to true up my tire and get my bike riding again so i could get myself home free of charge. and they did with no hesitation at all. i just thought you should know you have an excellent staff running that store and you should take great pride in that, I thank you and your staff for the best customer service i have had in years. and due to that Rock 'n' Road Cyclery has earned my respect and my business without doubt from here on out.

Respectfully Submitted

A Thank You from Matthias

Charles + Team,

Just would like to drop a little note how much i appreciate all your help and support. You guys are a fantastic Team and it makes all the difference.
It also makes it so easy to recommend you to other riders.
Truely you did an awesome job to have me won as a "Customer for Life" .

regards
Matthias

Hi Matt:
You probably don't remember me but I used to be your store's Specialized rep shortly before I left the bike industry. I now work for Wonderware, a software company just "up the street" from the Mission Viejo Rock 'N' Road. I've bought several bikes there for my kids and always appreciated the service from the MV store.

Today I called the Mission Viejo store about a very small Nite Rider part: a battery strap that I've somehow misplaced. Robert picked up the call and after we talked, he said he would find it either from the Nite Rider rep or from Nite Rider. 5 minutes after we hung up, he called me back to say he'd located the part from Nite Rider, and provided me their number and a direct extension. Sure enough, Nite Rider is mailing me the strap at no charge.

I know it's a very small part, but I am extremely impressed that Robert went "the extra mile" to meet the challenge of locating the item. I'm sure the store was busy and he certainly could have referred me to the Nite Rider website and we'd have finished on a positive note.

Please send Robert my appreciation and regards for the assistance. It's great to know that even for this small item, the spirit of service and "help" still exists at your stores - and can estabilish a real connection with a customer. Having heard a number of recent negative stories about your competitors, you can be assured that your customers are getting fantasitic attention and service at all levels, thus earning a fantastic reputation in a difficult marketplace.

All the best successes and my best regards!
Michael Boor

Hi Matt,

I am a new "bike" customer to Rock n Road, I bought my first road bike from Carlos Sandoval in Laguna Niguel last August. I have been a Rock n Road customer for years for my mountain bike needs, but, this was my first major bike purchase from your stores.

I bought a Specialized Roubaix Expert, which is a great bike imho. The story: In November, after riding, I noticed a fracture above the crank on the down tube. I contacted Carlos that day and he suggested I bring the bike in and have it looked at. I did and it was determined that the frame did crack and it needed to be replaced. This is really where Carlos stood out for me!!

Carlos handled the warranty replacement, the build out and provided a similar loaner/test bike in the interim. Although the loaner was purple :-), it filled the time gap for me while we were dealing with the replacement. This all occurred during your busiest season and Carlos was able to keep me informed of the progress and fully supported. Carlos follows up with me frequently to make sure everything on the bike is good. It's great to know you guys are so sincere and supportive of your customers.

I wanted to bring this to your attention so you know what a great asset Carlos is to your company and how individuals like Carlos can make a difference in customer loyalty. I am very pleased to be a Rock n Road customer and recommend to my friends to go see Carlos and Rock n Road consistently.

I hope you can let him know that his customer service and professionalism are appreciated.

Sincerely,

Brian Berger

Hi Matt,

Just wanted to take the time to send along my comments about the guys at the Anaheim Hills store. I recently purchased a 2009 Stumpjumper Comp from Rock & Road. I am very pleased with this mountain bike. I spent a lot of time researching my purchase, Chuck and Ed were very informative and helped me with the decision. There was an issue with the Avid Juicy disc brakes emitting excessive noise when applied. Ed and Chuck were very helpful getting this issue resolved for me. I will have to say they went above and beyond the call of duty to get this problem resolved.

I have been a customer of Rock and Road for a few years and I am very satisfied with the entire crew you have working there. I ride both mountain and road bikes. Chris has been a big help with the road bikes and Ed with the mountain bikes. I am a big fan of Specialized bikes and accessories. I have purchased many bikes in my lifetime and will continue to do so in the future. You can consider me a loyal customer of Rock and Road.

I am also a race promoter (Idyllwild Spring Challenge) so I consider myself a serious cyclist, not a novice customer. The truth is, I can purchase bikes and accessories anywhere. I can tell you for a fact that price is not the issue, service is. I may be able to purchase accessories and bikes cheaper on the internet, but I choose to patronize a bike shop with informative sales and service people. I have a lot of influence in my inner circle of cyclist and friends and I am sending them all your way.

I always tell new cyclist that the bike shop is far more important than the bike. I have owned several brands throughout the years and to be honest with you I think the bike industry produces a good product whether it is Specialized, Trek, Giant, Santa Cruz, etc.

I have known Chuck Allen for many years, and I really appreciate a great bike mechanic. I am a Senior Master Technician for Ford Motor Company and I know my vehicles very well, but I would rather have Chuck work on my bikes than me.

Thank you for employing an excellent crew. There are many bike shops that would like to have my business, but because of your well run organization, I'll spend my money with Rock and Road.

Thanks,

Alan Vester

To the guys at the Mission Viejo store on Wednesday the 24th. Four and a half hours into my ride, my ipod battery died and I was facing another two hours listening to my rain-soaked squeaky chain drive me crazy. Even though the store was busy, they lubed my bike up and wouldn't even charge me for their time. Thanks for getting me home!

I would like to take a few minutes to say thank you for such a refreshing store. I have bought a few items in your store and then finally after bring a friend in and him buying a bike, (riding buddy now I really have to train), I bought a replacement crankset for my old 1990’s vintage mountain bike, (I like steel). Your staff were helpful and knowledgeable.
Friday I stopped in and arranged to have the crank installed this morning. Everything and I mean everything went well beyond my recent experience with other services elsewhere. You mechanic staff completed the installation, adjustment in only a few minutes while my friend had the fit checked by Chris. Excellent stuff.

My first impression of the bike when I got it back about a half hour later was, this is a new bike. It never worked this well or felt this good.

Thanks again to Ed, Chris, and Chuck. Great job guys.

Now, I need to go set about wearing more parts out. This thing is fun!

Hello Matt....

My name is Dave Urton and I am a member of the RSM Little League Board of Directors.  I would like to personally thank you for your investment as a sponsor or our league.  Without sponsors, our league simply couldn't run or it would be cost prohibitive for many kids to afford the registration fees required.

I just wanted to let you know that my girlfriend was buying a mountain bike for her daughter for Christmas....and I insisted that she make that purchase at Rock n Road....much to my surprise, I had an awesome new bike under the tree myself which I am really enjoying.

Just want you to know that I truly believe in supporting our sponsors and the league will be making a big push for that as well in 2008.  I am the Director of Communication so I will be beating them over the head until they get it.

Thanks again!

Hi,

I'm writing to you guys to let you know that I have once again become a Specialized advocate. Back in the 90's I worked at one of the areas most prominant Specialized dealers called Bicycles Etc. in Lake Forest CA. Many people thought I was either getting a seperate pay check from Specialized over and above what the bike shop paid or, I had a big red S tatoo on me somewhere. I pushed and sold Specialized like it was the only brand out there. That run came to an end when I saw Supergo completely cheapen the brand by selling so many of the previous years bikes for an incredible discount. I had to somehow explain to my loyal customers why they should buy from me rather than waiting a year and getting the same bike for a much better deal. Anyway, I bought and rode other brands and eventually became a Trek guy. They produced a full suspension bike that was raceable and had a pretty good ride quality to it. I can't tell you how much money I poured into my favorite bike shop here riding Trek after Trek, road and mountain alike. The last bike I ordered from Trek was a Fuel EX carbon top of the line bike that was set to be available "really soon". I couldn't get a straight answer from them and I even ran into the Trek rep in the store who looked at me as if I was lucky to even have one on order. The conversation was so disappointing to me that I turned to the store manager and told him to cancel my order. I walked over to the new S-Works carbon Epic and asked to test ride it. I was doing it more to spite the Trek rep but as I rode it around the parking lot, I noticed the stiffness when the shock was locked and the supleness of the shock when I hit curbs and parking blocks. I rode back into the store and told Jeff (the store manager) that the S-Works Carbon Epic was the bike for me. Since then I have bought a S-Works Carbon Stumpy, S-Works Carbon Enduro, S-Works Carbon hardtail that has become my singlespeed and a Specialized Carbon Tarmac Pro! I think you can see that my S tatoo has been re-inked and is shining bright. Thanks to your R & D, I think I have the best line up of bikes I could ask for.

I had one big problem....I bought my Enduro when it first came out. While I was out riding at a place called Aliso Woods, I ran into Brian Lopes. I had known Brian back in the day so we chatted for a while when he realized that he was looking at the new E150 fork. He asked if he could bounce around on it and I said "Of course." He looked at me after compressing the fork and asked if I liked the feel of it. All I had done on it to that point was climb. It didn't feel bad to me but I had never ridden a 6" fork before so I didn't have anything to compare it to. He had me push on his and I was amazed at the difference. After descending on it, I brought it back to the shop not totally happy. They informed me that there were some cartridge issues and they quickly changed it out at no charge and right there while I waited. I continued to take the bike out and after every ride on it, I found myself in the shop and on a number of occasions spoke to the S rep while he was there. He was (is) a very responsive rep and he seems to be really a straight shooter. He agreed with me that the fork didn't feel good both times I saw him there. after 4 different cartridges and total frustration, you guys (through Rock and Road) really wanted me happy on my Enduro. You or they, basically gave me a choice of either the new 2008 E150 or some kind of credit. I am a sales person also so I was amazed to see the way you guys valued one little customer. I opt'd for the 2008 E150 with the hopes that this would solve the problem. I've given it a few rides and I still get done with my ride completely dissatisfied with the performance of the fork. I had the opportunity to test a Fox Fork on the trail and could not believe the difference. I have tried so hard and for so long to stay with that fork but, I came to the realization that on a $7000.00 bike, I just want to really love that bike. I've told a couple people that from the head tube back, it's hard to beat the performance of the new style Enduro. Once again, thanks R & D. I want my comments to be "I absolutely love the whole thing!"

I finally told the shop that wether I get a credit or not, I want the Fox Fork on my bike. I couldn't believe the patience of the shop. You guys picked the right chain to partner with!! Jeff came back with one last chance for Specialized and that's when Mike McAndrews stepped in. Thanks Mike! He offered to custom build a brand new '08 fork valved perfectly for my weight and riding style. It showed up 2 days later along with a new rear shock that balances the bike perfectly. I couldn't believe it. The bike is awesome (except I think the frame now doesn't keep up with the new suspension...j/k) I have now told a number of people that "I absolutely love the whole bike!"

Thank you guys, both Specialized and Rock and Road, so much for going way over and beyond any expectation I had.

Thanks again!

Sincerely,
Ryan Damato

Matt:

I really like the SL2!

The SL2 is not an upgraded SL; it's a completely different bike. While the SL feels like a hot sports car, the SL2 feels like a high performance Formula 1 race car.

When I first got my SL and pushed it, it responded with "I can handle that," which was a pleasant surprise compared with my previous bikes. But when I push the SL2, it's response feels like "is that all you got?!" I am totally blown away by the frame's torsional stiffness. When I push big gears, I feel like I'm on a high-speed railroad.

The SL2 is a LOT of bike. While its performance is noticeable during an initial ride, I think it takes about 3 or 4 rides to fully appreciate and take advantage of what it has to offer. Perhaps this would not be the case for a pro cyclist or a cyclist at your level, but it certainly has been the case for an amateur like me.

My initial plan was to use my SL as a back-up bike, possibly on some weekday training rides. But there's no going back. It's too much of a waste to leave my (relatively new) SL in the garage with no intention of using it again, so I'm going to sell it. Of course, this leaves me without a back-up bike if my SL2 ever needs to go into the shop for an extended period of time, but I'll deal with that situation if/when it ever arises.

I'm really glad I rode the Roval SLs on my SL as this helped me feel and understand the improved performance of the new wheels vs. the new module.

By the way, despite the minimalist design of the Toupè Team saddle, it's a lot more comfortable than my Arione Carbon Braided saddle on my SL.

Specialized may think they designed all of this for Tom Boonen, but it feels like they designed it just for me!

Thanks for all of your help and encouragement. ---Brian

Hi Greg,

At least I still had enough sense at the LA Triathlon to ask your name
and your company's name. I looked up your website and called the
Anaheim Hills location. I told them the short version of the story and
they gave me your email address.

I just wanted to let you know that the chain held for the bike portion
and I was able to finish the race. I can't thank you enough for coming
to my aid and fixing my chain! Although my chain breaking was bad
luck...your assistance was great luck!!

I am running the Chicago Marathon October 7th and I am doing the
SOMA Half in Tempe on October 28th! Maybe LA was the turning
point and I will have awesome races this coming fall.

Thank you so much!! I will always remember it!!

Dear Greg,

On behalf of the Orange County Triathlon Club, please accept our sincerest thanks for your continued generosity and support for the Club and the Challenged Athletes Foundation with the donations you provided this year.  Your donation of a bike, equipment and clothing was awesome and contributed to the overall success of our fundraiser, which raised $30,552 to benefit CAF.  We have been honored and blessed with your participation and sponsorship of the Club and we thank you for everything you do for us.

As one of the very few charities that provides grants directly to athletes with a physical disability, the Challenged Athletes Foundation has raised nearly $6 million and directly assisted over 1,600 athletes worldwide.  OCTC is proud to contribute to this effort and we thank you for helping us to achieve our goals each year.  It is inspiring and rewarding to see how your generosity has helped these people on a very individual and personal level.

All funds have been remitted to CAF by the Orange County Triathlon Club. The Challenged Athletes Foundation is a 510©3 nonprofit organization, tax ID #33-7039596.

Hi Tracie,

Thanks so much for organizing the bike ride yesterday. I had a lot of fun and I certainly learned a lot from you and Diane. Maybe our Saturday group will grow into something big in the near future!

Please thank Eric for refitting me on my bike. Wow, what a difference! He really took the time to explain the adjustments he made. He is quite the expert. I will take my "new" bike out for a test spin tomorrow.

Have a great week!

Noreen

Hello to all,

I had received an invitation to come to your new Irvine store and ride with Peter Reid, Saturday June 30th. Wow what an honor to not only meet a true and humble champion, but spend time with him on the bike as well. I brought a friend with me who also does triathlons and we were both not only excited to be a part of this new store opening, but riding with Peter; and on top of it all receiving 1st class treatment before, during and after the ride. It was well organized through-out with many employees along for the punishment. And while I did hear that once we were just past Cook's corner that the speeds and competition would open up, it held true with great fun and friendly barbing. Everyone safe and sound a few hours later where we compared our challenges and conquest along the way with those tasty goodies and drinks to get us home there at the finish. Again thank you all who assisted and sponsored this event, and of course to all those good sports that participated. I wish you much success with your stores. Please keep us informed of when and where we can return the favor with upcoming events.

Sincerely,

Raymond & friend 'Cassie'

Dear Stuart:

We wish to acknowledge, with sincere gratitude, your donation to City of Hope, which we received on May 1, 2007.

Please accept my thanks on behalf of the entire City of Hope family. It is people like you who enable us to continue our patient care, research and educational programs. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Once again, thank you for you contribution to City of Hope.

Stuart,

I wanted to drop you a quick note to say thanks for the help on Saturday morning. Dave Mills and I were on our long Saturday AM ride when his de-railer cable snapped. We thought his long ride was over when I remembered seeing a new Rock and Road coming to the Woodbury shopping center. On a slight chance someone might be there I convinced him to pull into the center. At 8:00AM you, Crystal, and one other person (I never got his name) were there. With the shop not even set up, let alone open, your team fixed Dave’s cable. UNBELIEVEABLE!!! Neither one of us had any money on us yet you never mentioned a fee for this “service”.

As we chatted Dave asked about how you have made Rock N' Road so successful. It became obvious to me last Saturday. A passionate person, providing service to passionate people is not rocket science but it is a way to make a successful business and earn customers for life.

I needed to replace my rear tire before heading out again on Sunday. Without thinking twice I headed to RnR in Mission Viejo to give you my business.

Best Regard,
Chris Hill

RNR,

I came to Rock n Road because of your Specialized selection and your support of the local events. I went to your Mission Viejo store to talk to Manuel Prado because of his experience in races that I plan to ride. I debated between the Epic Marathon and the S-Works Epic Carbon Fiber, it was a tough decision for me because of the cost. Manny suggested that I make the leap if I could afford it because the difference is real. I did it and I'm thrilled with the bike. WOW this S Works Carbon ROCKS!!! It's a blast to ride and faaaaaaast.

Thanks Manny & Thanks Rock N Road

John Colvin

Tracie,

Thank you for everything you do for us. Your care and special attention is very much appreciated. When our neighbor Ron said he wanted to buy new bikes for his wife and daughter, I urged him to see you because I knew you would make sure they got the right bikes to fit their needs.

You have a way of making people feel special regardless of their level of riding or bank account. That's because you are special!

Thanks for everything!

I think the world, especially the cycling world, would be much better if there were more people like you. We're just glad you're in our cycling world!

Thanks for everything you do for us.

Dear Jeff,
Just a quick note to make you aware of the exemplary service I received from your employee, Carlos Sandoval.  While my expectation of staff at other bicycle shops has deteriorated over the years it’s refreshing to find a shop that has employees willing to go "above and beyond".  This attention to service and customer relations is what makes a business thrive but also speaks volumes about the management and attitude of that establishment.

Good job to all of you at Rock N’ Road Cyclery and special kudos to Carlos in particular, I certainly appreciate it.

Sincerely,

Thank you Rock n Road for the great ride and service! I shopped around for a mountain bike for 2 months before I bought a Specialized S-Works Enduro SL. I checked every brand and bike shop in Orange County before making my decision. The demo test ride and the knowledgeable staff was the clincher. A special thanks to Chris and Parker. You guys ROCK!!!!!!!!

We wish to extend our gratitude to Rock N’ Road for their generous donation of gift certificates to our 7th Annual Triathlon Event. The success and enjoyment of this event was due in large part to your contribution.
It was an inspiring day filled with first time triathlon finishers. To see our athletes finishing the final leg of the race to the cheers and hugs of family and friends is extremely gratifying. It was an unforgettable day!

You tuned my bike helped me pick a helmet (and fit it, too), showed me all the items I needed to change a flat, put on my pump, water bottle holder and seat bag, adjusted my bike to my size, taught me how to use the gears, put my bike rack on (and taught me how to do it myself!) and how to safely attach my bike. And you did this all with so much patience and a smile!

Thank You!

P.S. I rode 22 miles on Sunday!! So fun!

JUST WANTED TO GIVE YOU AN ATTABOY TO DANNI AND THE REST OF YOUR SALES STAFF AT THE ANAHEIM HILLS LOCATION. VISITED YOUR STORE FOR THE FIRST TIME ON SUNDAY, JULY 23RD. LOOKING FOR A ROUBAIX PRO. RODE THE S-WORKS TARMAC AND THE S-WORKS ROUBAIX AND WALKED OUT WITH THE ROUBAIX I WAS TELLING DANNI HOW POORLY I WAS TREATED AT AN UNAMED AMERICAN STORE IN REDLANDS. GIVEN THE PRICE OF HI END MACHINES TODAY, I AM NOT AFRAID TO ASK FOR A DISCOUNT. AT THAT STORE I WAS LOOKING AT A DISCOVERY EDITION MADONE YOU KNOW ANOTHER 5K BIKE. WHEN I ASKED THE MANAGER WHAT HE COULD DO FOR ME, HE DIDN'T EVEN LOOK UP FROM HIS LAP TOP, AND SAID HE WOULD THROW IN TWO BOTTLE CAGES AND BOTTLES. THIS AFTER SPENDING SEVERAL THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON ACCESSARIES OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS. WELL HE LOST MY BUSINESS FOR GOOD AND THAT OF EVERYONE ELSE I CAN CONVINCE. I LIVE IN THE BEAUMONT AREA, 65 MILES FROM YOUR LOCATION, BUT FROM HERE ON OUT YOU HAVE MY BUSINESS. THANKS FOR THE GREAT SERVICE AND REMIND ME TO STOCK UP ON TUBES.

TIM MADURA, BEAUMONT CA.

Greg,

I truly appreciate the time and patience you took helping my girlfriend choose the right bike for her at the new Rock N' Road Cyclery of Anaheim Hills. Your professionalism and friendly service proved to me there were still great people out there who really care about getting others into the world of cyclery. I really admired the time and care you took with your customers so much so, I was convinced I found the right place to purchase my own full suspension bike. Brandy and I love our new Specialized MTBs. Special thanks to your friendly and supportive staff like Chuck, Stewart, Matt and Danni at Rock N' Road Cyclery of Anaheim Hills.

Best of luck with the new shop!

I just wanted to say thank you for the customer service at the Mission Viejo location. I needed to order a dampener for my Rock Shox Psylo and wasn’t getting much help or concern for what I needed from other bike shops in the area. They give the impression your not important unless if you going to or look like the type of person that is going to drop a few thousand on a new bike. When I phoned your Mission Viejo store there was a no problem come on down we can help you attitude response. While there I was given excellent attention and concern on what I needed. When picking up my order everyone was helpful and friendly and the order was correct. I even got some free grease to reassemble my fork.

Thanks again!!
Randy B.

On behalf of the Redondo Beach Fire Department, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to you and your team members for providing our department with four bicycles at a very generous discounted rate.
As you are aware, the City of Redondo Beach will be hosting the final stretch of the AMGEN: Tour of California bike race. Your support in providing us these bicycles will allow us to place into service four mobile paramedics that will be able to provide medical treatment if necessary to a crowd that is expected to draw close to 100,000 spectators which is a first for our community.
Again, I would like to thank you and extend an offer to visit our Fire Department should you find yourself in the South Bay area.

Sincerely,
REDONDO BEACH FIRE DEPARTMENT
